generally operated by owners occupiers. You will find the owner
will often be able to help you with all kinds of advice on the
area they live in. Many will have lived in the area all their
lives, so do not feel afraid to ask them for advice on what's to
do and see or any other areas that will make your holiday more
enjoyable.
Campsites in the Trossachs area. There
are a number of excellent camp sites in this beautiful part of
Scotland. Two are situated on the south side of Callander, one
operate by the Forest Enterprise the government forestry body
just south of Aberfoyle and two just north of Strathyre run by
owner operators.
Self catering is in short supply with the removal of the popular Tannoch Brae chalets. Self catering is
often one of the best ways to holiday in Scotland. Rents are
generally for a week at a time running from Saturday to
Saturday, many self catering operators will supply your linen,
sheets, towels and much more. We strongly recommend that you
check exactly what is supplied with the self catering let.
