Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium

Situated on the Shores of Loch Lomond, a fantastic day out is guaranteed for both children and adults.Clown_Fish_.jpg

What is your favourite sea creature?

Is it the awesome Sharks, the magnifcent Turtle or perhaps the clever Common Octopus that you love the most? Well here at SEA LIFE you can see them all under one roof - from the rescued to the rare and the enigmatic. And now you can get even closer than ever before!

Many of our beautiful creatures are on the endangered list, they have been rescued and cannot be released into the wild, or they have been bred as part of our conservation project at Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium.

Things to Do:

Come and see our new Giant Pacific Octopuscommon_octopus.png

This intelligent creature has taken pride of place beside the Aquarium's Giant Ocean Tunnel. The Giant Pacific Octopus is the largest species of Octopus in the world.  Some have been known to weigh well over 15 kgs and have an arm-span of over four metres!

Visit Cammy the only Giant Sea Turtle in Scotland

turtle.pngCammy the giant Green Sea Turtle joined us at SEA LIFE Loch Lomond Aquarium in January 2010.  She has a mainly vegetarian diet of broccoli and lettuce. Turtles become vegetarian the older they get, although we still feed her a small amount of squid in her diet. Come and find her sleeping beside the tunnel or scratching her back on the ship wreck!

  • Hold a crab and touch a starfish in our interactive Rock Pool.
  • Shark! See Scotland's largest selection in our Ocean Tunnel.
  • Meet Shona, Rhona and Mona, our playful Otters.
  • Feeding frenzy! demonstrations throughout the day.
  • Hot & Cold drinks, snack, sandwiches and cakes are available in our cafe.
